Epson uses W-01 for a paper-jam warning on the ET-2850 family. It is lower-severity than the fatal E-series codes because the machine is usually recoverable after the jam is cleared properly, but repeated W-01 events can point to feed or path wear if the same job keeps failing.

• -A W-01 by itself is usually recoverable, but repeat jam warnings deserve a feed-path check.
• -If a fatal E-series code appears with the jam warning, follow the fatal code first.
